Video Production Rates
HOW DO WE PRICE OUR VIDEOS?
There is no one size fits all for video production. How much time and equipment needed for the job will greatly impact the overall project cost. The industry standard for pricing videos is based off of 3 factors:
Pre-Production | Production | Post-Production
Pre-Production
This phase sets the foundation, requiring time and attention to detail:
-Collaborate with you to understand your vision and goals.
-Write scripts, create visual plans (storyboards), and schedule the project.
-Plan for the number of videographers, special equipment (like drones), and other resources.
-Scout locations, hire talent, and handle permits or contracts.
-Time Consideration: Pre-production can take days or weeks, depending on complexity.
Production
This phase varies greatly depending on your project’s needs:
-Film on site, considering how much time you need us there.
-A single location may take a few hours; multi-location shoots or events may require full days plus travel and accommodations.
-Use specialized equipment (e.g., drones for aerial shots, multiple cameras for dynamic coverage).
-Larger shoots may require additional videographers or crew.
-Time Consideration: The length and complexity of filming directly impact the cost, from quick half-day shoots to full day / multi-day productions.
Post-Production
Transforming raw footage into the final product is time-intensive:
-Edit video clips, add sound design, and fine-tune visuals (e.g., color grading).
-Incorporate animations, graphics, or drone footage seamlessly.
-Review drafts with you and make revisions to meet your expectations.
-Time Consideration: Post-production can take several days to weeks, depending on the amount of footage and complexity of edits.
